To commemorate the 5th International Hornbill Conference, William T. Cooper has been commissioned to paint the Oriental Pied Hornbill, the only species of Hornbill found wild in Singapore. This species is also the subject of study by the Singapore Hornbill Project. William Cooper is one of the world¹s foremost wildlife artist, and his paintings are eagerly sought by collectors worldwide. The painting is titled "Enticement" (89 x 68 cm), and depicts a male Hornbill enticing a female with a MacArthur Palm fruit, on a Symplocos cochinchinensis tree; this behaviour is common before the female is sealed in her nest.
